Citizen Journalist: Our three main comsats enjoy up to 200 readers per week for which we are
very grateful. We are experiencing difficulties launching Facebook: NASA_Ares. Meet us there;
as always, gift optional. Please consider becoming a member.........This article is dedicated
to the 50th on the 5th - Al & Freedom 7. The irony and the appropriateness: May
remembered for a wonderful death and for  a glorious beginning. It is written in the stars. As
you are well aware, 'CJ' endeavors never to be cryptic. By the bye, the answer to your
query may lie at Facebook: NASA_Ares. Cute..Men don't say cute...tricky. If you can't bring
mohammad to the mountain - send special forces after him. Or, bring the mountain to Americans
and are true friends on the planet. Subtle?

(From Rod Serling's closing narration, "Escape Clause," The Twilight Zone,
November 6, 1959, CBS Television Network)
The CAMERA PANS away from the body and then slowly up
the side of the cell until it stops on a shot of the barred window
                                facing the outside.
                                                        NARRATOR'S VOICE
There's a saying ... every man is put on earth condemned
to die. Time and method of execution unknown.
                                                  (a Pause)
Perhaps this is how it should be. Case in point--Walter Bedeker,
lately deceased. A little man with such a yen to live.
Now the CAMERA MOVES OUT and through the bars and is
shooting up into the night sky.
                                                       NARRATOR'S VOICE
Beaten by the devil ... by his own boredom ... and by the
scheme of things in this ... the Twilight Zone.
                                                                                                   FADE TO BLACK

Welcome Back...Glad to be here...Glad to have you as a guest...Where will you be taking
us?...To meet bin laden's 71 virgins...

First, we begin with space, per forma; then, down-to-earth; followed by who-knows-
where. A psychedelic trip of the mind of sorts.
Fed gov continues to give taxpayer $$$s - subsidies - to four private sector
companies, including, SpaceX and Virgin Galactic via NASA. It constitutes an
immense injustice of a constitutional-scale. We deem subsidies to be unconstitutional
in a capitalistic society. Seed money for a new business or seed money for a
new risky endeavor by an existing company should come from that class of
investors who specialize in risk capital investment not taxpayers for we won't be
reimbursed nor will we share in the dividends (see "Where are my Dividends?").
We shall return to space but will now take a detour to patting ourselves on
the back. The president and house speaker are now talking about ending
subsidies (this form of subsidy is not cash but special tax breaks) to oil companies.
We first proposed this a year ago and reiterated it more recently in an "Action
Chain Letter." We proposed ending all subsidies, including, those given to
natural gas, wind and solar; more on the latter momentarily. (Remind us to
return to space and solar; two Ss and related - just making it easier for you to
remember and to remind us).
Subsidies to oil amount to $4 billion per year ($40 billion over ten).
Opponents to ending subsidies have two arguments: 1) 25% of investment in
alternate energy sources comes from Big Oil and 2) Most exploration for new
sites at which to drill is done by small oil. Point 1: BO won't reduce its
alternate energy R & D if subsidies are ended; they want to be in on the ground
floor of these new and viable-in-the future technologies (Of course, Obama
likes high oil prices and wishes they were higher and permanent so for then
and only then will solar and wind be competitive when they come on-line;
drill, baby, drill at new venues for oil and natural gas {the U.S. enjoys a
100-plus reserve of untapped natural gas} - we have higher environmental
standards then other nations. Instead Obama is giving loans to Mexico and
Brazil to drill instead of creating jobs here. Further, solar and wind won't
fully come on-line until 2035 and only be able to generate 30% of our
electrical needs and no more so say the experts. Should Americans have to
suffer obscene energy prices, especially, at the pump until then!?! Besides,
solar and wind are for electricity not cars and trucks - the technology
doesn't exist to put solar panels and wind mills on cars and trucks!!! Did
we take an A.D.D.-tangent?). Point 2: We say it again: risk capital
investors, as well as, the banks that supply them some of the money for
more often than not their gambling pays off big-time.
       What's that?...Return to solar...Thanks for reminding us...
We might be able to get 35% of our electricity from wind and
solar by 2025 by mining the moon. Believe it or not, it would be more
effective and less expensive than building solar power generating plants
on earth. Further, while experts predict that we won't have nuclear fusion
plants (we presently have fission plants) until 2030 - there might be a
way for us to have them be 2025; safer and more envirmentally-friendlier
than fission. How? NASA, of course. Some of you will be shocked and
wonder why Obama wants to cancel moon project (a growing number
of congressional members are fighting for the moon). Where do you
go to be shocked? "Action Chain Letter 4" - updated, improved and
expanded - and located at /group/nasa-our-way - - finish this ACL and
then run over there - - - it's three blocks east of new federalism.
The exercise will do you good!

We have placed 15 short posts at Facebook: Holms, Sherlock. Here's one:
"A long shot, Watson; a very long shot!
                                                             -Silver Blaze
'tis a pity, we had to get rid of Lisa, we couldn't afford
her - women! There's only a very long shot that a
reduced version made be created...A canceled NASA/ESA
(European Space Agency) project to measure gravitational
waves which are predicted by Relativity.

Father John Riccardo on EWTN pointed out that "the most serious sin of
our age is the loss of a sense of sin" which Pope Pious stated in 1950 and
Pope John Paul reiterated in 1984. He continued: We don't talk about it.
We don't admit that it exits. We are asking to be corrupted. Or, we
make excuses: it's not my fault; there are extenuating circumstances.
For many sin has become a joke. Sin isn't a joke. Sin ruins relationships.
Sin harms people. Sin is bad for us.
      We aren't prudes; we aren't holier than thou. Religious: Not; Philosophy;
Deist with a pinch of Plato. Please see "In and Out of Plato's Cave" at /group/
yellowfeverlime101).
We have been watching - as a study - the 15- and 30-minute length,
including, commercials stand-up comics on Comedy Central. Our
observations: 99% use foul language 25% of the time, 75% of their jokes
are dirty; 1% are language-challenged 15% and 25% of their jokes are
off-color. We worry about the children. This material appears at all
hours. We are far from long in the tooth but when we were growing-up,
we were exposed to old and new. These young performers should
be forced to watch footage of: Marx, Burns, Benny, Borge, Bishop,
Little and Cosby (he was old school like his sitcom). They would
loose their confidence! They are funny 5 to 15% of the time vs. the
old-timers most of the time. They would utter double endentre' on
occasion but not in your face filth - clever stuff. Most of the time,
these potty mouths miss the pus-y...oops...target.
And speaking of today's singers - have them listen to: Presley,
Sinatra, Torme, Fitzgerald, Lee, Berry, Holly, Holiday, Cole - -
they'd be ashamed to go on stage!
Actors past and present: pay us the big bucks and we could
screw up lines with the 'best' of them! Order of importance:
Writers, producers, directors, actors; order of the green: actors, directors,
producers, writers. (More on this in the near future).
Voltaire: If God did not exist, we would have to invent him. Let's
face it: atheist can be moral most of the time. However, religious
people are more likely to be moral more often followed by
believers in one respect or another and atheist bring up the rear;
best when they're pretty. Otherwise, chaos rather than society and
an increase in crime, especially, against children, elderly and
women.

An insect trumps Trump in smarts. How can such a shrewd businessman be such
a big a-hole!?! We never subscribed to the silliness: Obama isn't
American; he is U.S. Constitutional Criminal! Yet, he does baffling
things like issue a presidential proclamation for ramandan but
not Easter - the first president not to do so.

As Popeye says: "Well blow me down!" Massachusetts house -
majority democrat - votes to strip key bargaining rights
from state employee unions. We repeat ourselves (public)
servants shouldn't earn on average (salary and benefits)
more than their masters (taxpayers)!
Unions peaked in 1940 when 37% of workers were
unionized - only in private sector. Public unions were
created between 1950 and 1970. Today 13% of American
workers are unionized - half, private; half, public.
We can argue whether or not unions served a valuable
purpose between 1890 and 1950 or whether or not
companies on their own would have slowly made changes
for morale (happy workers are more productive workers),
due to compassion and to avoid lawsuits.
Do companies exist for the worker or does the worker
exist for the company. We say the latter. all an
employer owes a worker is a paycheck commiserate with
work performed and a reasonably safe work environment.
The government has no right forces them to do more;
they should do it voluntarily. Card Check: There is nothing
more American than the secret ballot. Due to shrinking
membership unions want workers to openly declare
whether they favor a union at their place of employment
so that union thugs can strong-arm workers to say: "Yea."
According to the National Labor Board: Workers have
a right to strike. We don't see that in our Bill of Rights!
A Boeing plant in Washington State was the victim of
5 strikes in the last ten years. They decided to open a
plant in a state where their aren't many union jobs. The
Labor Board invoking some obscure regulation and
misapplying it is stopping Boeing from doing it - something
that a lot of American and foreign companies have been
doing for the past 20 years - and creating jobs. Do you think the
Boeing will make the plane in its Washington plant or one
of its oversees plants.

Do you remember when Obama during campaign 2008 campaigned
in Paris and stated the he was now a "citizen of the world." Now
that Special Forces has turned the evil one into a cadaver, their
next assignment should be to terminate Superman who has
renounced his American citizenship and declared that he is a
"citizen of the world."

Warning: J/H episode in progress...Citizen Journalist: It sounds plausible to
me...Richard DePersio: I'm shocked; you're never guilable...CR: It is worthy of
consideration...RD: Scientific Perspective - Remember the burden of proof is
with the person making the claim and not the skeptic. I'm shocked - nay, appalled
by your attitude.
All of those tornadoes down south. We heard a meteorologist state that the main
factor was a dramatic change in the jet stream. Which got us to thinking about
low-frequency radio pulses. Meteorologists often have that effect on us. Recently, we
discussed how an EMP bomb if ever developed could knock out our infrastructure,
including, electric grid.
We have two HAARP and one in Puerto Rico research facilities to study the
ionosphere and jet stream in the hopes of enhancing radio communication and
surveillance purposes; HAARP is a joint Air Force, Navy, University of Alaska (in the
case of two) and DARPA (we spoke of it not long ago). Russia and EU each
have one.
Some contend that the low frequency radio waves employed in study are
also being used for a more sinister purpose: controlling the weather. Attacking
a country with a hurricane or drought or earthquake or whatever without
having your fingerprints on it. They claim that Soviet Union 1976-89 produced
what was called the "woodpecker" in the background of radio communications
resulting in the drought in California from '88-'92. They also maintain that
efforts are underway to control path of jet stream which plays a major role in
weather and to develop ion heaters. Claim: targeted lightning could render
all or part of radar and electric grid impotent. Was Katrina an enemy attack or
a U.S. test gone awry? Strange artificial clouds: Seen for the past few years,
these plumes criss-crossing the sky resembling contrails have been called
chemtrails.
We aren't conspiracy nuts. They used to be on the fringe playing
to a small audience while today they enjoy wide media coverage.
Creep shows: What if they were 1% true? Scientifically not worth
serious consideration and should be dismissed out-of-hand - but
would make for a good story around the campfire. Evidence: at
least 50% of a claim must be convincing and, therefore worth further
consideration. Reliable eyewitness testimony and second-hand info can
serve to point one in a direction but observation, experience and experiment
of a high level of credibility and standards and a lot of it, confirmed
by independent  investigators working from a firm, established foundation.
 Proof!

We can't say "goodbye" without say "goodbye" to ubl.
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary
the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about
                     seeking whom he may devour."
                                                          -1 Peter, 5:8
bin laden is discovering that there are fish not virgins in davy jones locker.
Remember what we reported last year from genuine experts - a radical
muslim cleric appearing on SkyNews in the U.K. and a muslim
women turned Christian on the 700 Club: Islam promotes violence;
a few % of muslims are terrorists, a few % are moderates and the vast
majority are radicals or radicals pretending to be moderates or
moderates who can easily be turned into radicals, if not, terrorists.
They should know! We also reported a year ago that most so-called
moderate mosques in the U.S. receive financial support from the
radical "muslim brotherhood." Recently, this info included in ACLs.
This constitutes Proof!

Originally published Tues, Nov 23, 2010; it has been updated, expanded and improved.

                                               ACTION CHAIN LETTER 4:
                                    MOON MINING/ELECTRICITY EARTH
                                            Or, SUPPLEMENT to ACL 11
                                                 - - - Reader's Choice - - -
                            (Formerly titled: EXPLORATION and ENERGY)
                               by Richard DePersio (Preservatives Added)

Hours and hours (ad nauseam) of coverage to a British wedding and a
week later little coverage in memory of a late American hero and
the two national/historic events associated with him. Networks would
say: "We are giving people what they want." We can't believe
that Americans are that shallow. They would have forfeited
an hour or more of a prince for an Al. If you wouldn't or if
you don't know what we are talking about - you are shallow!!!

The recent announcement by LEXUS of a 3D Carbon Fiber Loom
which will make future cars stronger and lighter is most
disconcerting. Why? We saw numerous stories regarding
this major technological advance but they failed to mention
that Lexus is owned by the Japanese company, Toyota.
America went from being a minor industrial power in 1870
to being number three in 1900 and number one by 1920 - a
meteoric rise. By 1975, we were number one in virtually all
technological areas due in large part to the NASA of 1958-1970.
NASA's budget which rose throughout the 1960's due to
Moon Race plummeted (adjusting for inflation) since the
early '70's in parallel with America loosing its technological
edge in one area after another. While NASA is still the
main scientific/technological engine of our economy, it
isn't what it once was. We explained that NASA should
see its budget rise from $ 17 billion to 30 billion over 10
years and then frozen for 10 years except for a
full annual inflationary increase. While virtually all other
components of fed gov must be frozen in some cases
and reduced modestly or moderately or big time or
abolished to reduce $16 trillion debt by November. Why?
NASA's prime directive: Manned space flight. Collateral
benefits: NASA in you home, car, factory, office, farm,
hospital. NASA benefits fields ranging from astronomy
to electronics to medicine to microminiaturizing to
zoology. Presently, NASA receives one-half of 1% of
fed budget; for every $1 budgeted NASA, we get a $7
return in pure science and technology. Other gov
components are limited to one area and loose money.
NASA is unique.
We face an energy crisis. NASA can play a major
role in making America energy independent and
substantially reducing the cost of electricity. NASA to
the rescue. (Recently, we told you about a 27 year old
mother of three who was saved with a heart pump with parts
originally designed for manned space flight).
Here's how:
PROPOSAL 10:
Mining the Moon for Silicon and Helium-3 for the purpose
of taking a major step toward energy independence and generating
affordable energy while our demand for energy more
then doubles over the next two decades.
We have taken many factors into consideration in endorsing
these proposals, including, real climatology as opposed to
 U.N.-Cattle Fart-Hockey Stick Pseudo-climatology.
It is extremely expensive and difficult to mine for silicon and Helium-3
on earth. The price tag might even be prohibitive on a massive
scale. Silicon is employed in producing solar cells for solar panels
which we want in earth orbit generating electricity. Helium-3 would
be used for fusion plants to generate electricity. We presently have fission
plants. Fusion  plants would be less expensive, even safer and more
environmentally-friendly (for the benefit of Cattle-Farters) than fission plants.
Let's put the subject in perspective. Coal generates 15-20% as
much energy as put into the energy of mining and processing. Mining on
the moon is much less expensive because of lower gravity and no air
resistance. "Mass Drivers" powered by concentrated
sunlight would scrape helium-3 and silicon from the surface and would deliver the
material to earth (He-3) and orbit (silicon). It would cost only 5% to send
silicon from moon to earth orbit then it would from earth to earth orbit.
Such mining would retrieve 300x more energy  from He-3 then put in, including,
the energy   of going to the moon and shipping material to earth! Cost-effective:
It would be less expensive to use He-3 from moon than from earth in nuclear
fusion plants; it would be cheaper and more effective (above weather) to have
orbiting solar panel satellites as opposed to solar panel stations on earth. So,
Why did Obama cancel moon program? Same reason that he loaned Mexican
Oil  to drill in Gulf of Mexico during moratorium on U.S. drilling, in spite of the
fact that they have much lower safety and environmental standards?
Air Force has been testing 'secret' unmanned X-37B which resembles a
space shuttle. A year ago, we were probably the first to propose placing
future operational version near GPSs in order to move them out
of harm's way in the event that an enemy fires a missiles at them
for the purpose of crippling our communications, especially, military.
Further, upgraded GPS should be housed in cargo bay ready to
replace aging GPS when it dies. Unmanned X-37B is more
maneuverable from ground than a regular satellite. In addition, we
proposed calling operational-version "Constitution" to drive libs crazy.
It is suspected that a manned version is in the works. A
declassified-version - notice: new, original proposal coming -
should be employed by NASA to construct framework for
solar energy collecting devices which would transmit
concentrated sunlight to earth for conversion to electricity.
Framework complete, it becomes a private sector endeavor.

Don't touch pristine moon. We'll get to it. Hold your farts.
It has been estimated that we will have fusion plants by 3030 give or take
3 years. NASA could truncate it to 2025 give or take 3 years.

PROPOSAL 11:
Not allowing $9 billion spent on NASA's "Constellation" Program go down
same presidential black hole as "stimulus package" and Fannie/Freddie.
Combine Orion/Ares 1 and Ares 5
heavy-lifter with nuclear thermal  stage ( aka earth-transfer module to moon
and Mars)  to      be fired  in low or high earth orbit with it doing double-duty as
cosmic ray shield for Orion.  If booster rockets are necessary, we should go
with more expensive but safer liquid rather than solid fuel which would
enable astros or ground control to turn off boosters in an emergency;
you can't do that with solid - when ignited it must burn until spent.
We must keep in mind that we are recommending the use of
nuclear thermal stage would make rocket faster, more powerful and
less expensive. It would also require one or two chemical stages. Project
NERVA (1962-73) would have created a nuclear thermal stage by 1978
for proposed Mars mission - the Saturn 5 third stage would have
been replaced with a nuclear thermal stage and called Saturn S-N.

PROPOSAL 12:
We should have 5 moon missions - lasting 3 weeks at lunar equatorial
region, mission to lunar 'arctic' region for 5 weeks, flight to lunar 'antarctic'
circle for 7 weeks, visit to lunar
far side for 4 weeks with comsat in La grange orbit and a return to lunar
north for 3 months
during 2020-21. Four follow-up missions if warranted.
NASA would establish 3 moon bases where astronauts (Commander,
pilot, mission specialists - geologists, geophysicists, engineers,
astronomers) for stays of up to 3 months
with private company geologists, geophysicists, metallurgists, engineers
nearby. They would pay NASA to be flown to moon or pay private company.
They might be able to use water at poles to drink, separate out O to breath
and the H for nuclear thermal power plant and for propulsion. Living off the
land. Mining can't commence until area is thoroughly studied scientifically.
During that period, private company can determine
viability of site for mining. In the future, it would be in the financial interest
of a private company to do exploration prior to exploitation without NASA.
Pure science often leads  to applied science or technology).
The Mars mission would employ the thermal nuclear stage a.k.a. earth
transfer module and what is learned in the process of upgrading
NERVA (nuclear stage development which had been successfully tested)
and the blueprints of the never built Saturn S-N might be applicable to the
 development of nuclear fusion plants.

Proposals 10, 11 and 12 might enable us to have fusion plants on earth by 2025
give or take 3 years rather than projected 2030 and we should begin orbiting
solar energy satellites  when the new version Ares   is operational which
should be by or before 2017. Experts estimate  that we can only get up
to 30% of our electricity from solar and wind by 2035. NASA could guarantee
it and, perhaps, increase it to 35% less expensively and by 2030.
Since NASA's inception it has developed cutting-edge technology and
built upon existing technology which has made its way to the private
sector - free of charge! - after 3 to 5 years.
In acknowledgement of the need to substantially reduce the debt (we have
been recommending $4 trillion over 10 years as a minimum for a year now)
and consideration of what NASA needs to accomplish over the next
quarter century (the sheer beauty of comprehending our place and
destiny in the immense cosmos and practical applications fallout from
the acquisition of knowledge), we hereby modify our proposal for
the purpose of making it more palatable and garnering majority (51%
or more support): Increasing NASA budget from $17 billion to $30 from
2012-1222. And, then, shrinking it from $30 billion to 25 from 1222-1227.
And, then, freezing it for 10 years with a full annual inflationary/cost of
living increase. Rally 'round the Flag on Orion!
