Jealousy is a terrible thing. We used to admire successful people. Now, we
want to take what they have without earning it. Isn't it bad enough that the
Income Tax might be unconstitutional. It definitely isn't capitalistic. You
work hard and your rewarded by being knocked up to a higher bracket. B.O.
wants the rich to pay their fair share. The wealthiest 1% of Americans pay
38% of all Federal Income Taxes. Let's punish them by making then pay
more. More money for fed gov; less money for investment in businesses.
Even if you illegally took all their money away, it wouldn't make a dent into
the debt crisis. These people are to be admired: acting in their own self-
interest, they benefit all: jobs are created; R & D is expanded; new products
and services are generated.
After all these years, we finally know what Desi Arnaz was sing about: Babalu
(Babalu I-A). We were watching a doc on NGC on voodoo. When black slaves
were brought to Cuba, missionaries converted them to being Catholic. Secretly,
most of them combined Catholic with voodoo. For example, finding a similarity
between a saint and a voodoo spirit. Babalu i-a is associated with Saint Lazarus.
There is annual celebration of Bablu i-a which culminates with mass at St.
Lazarus Church. The church looks the other way regarding Babalu i-a. There are
a few places in the Caribbean and South American, and, of course, down south,
especially, New Orleans where you will find a particular mixture of Catholic/Voodoo.
